Dave…no gamma shift. It looks exactly the same as it did in FCP. This was a complete and utter success!

Might be an XDCAM thing? I dunno. I do know that gamma shift is an issue. I’ll see how my tests go. But, as I said, I have my Avid capture as a backup…not color corrected, but they didn’t specify that.

Hi Shane,

I just tried this earlier this week and hit a snag – all the MXF files that Pro Export generated had a level shift – the classic interpreting-YUV-as-being-RGB issue, so 16-235 became 32-210 or whatever.

This was going from XDCAM EX to DNxHD120. I tried this in Quicktime Pro and got the same thing – level shift going to DNxHD.
I emailed Automatic Duck about this but no reply yet – in the end I gave up and just imported the EX clips directly into Avid, but it’s annoying me, as I’m sure there must be a fix.

Any thoughts?
