		<description>I agree about the b-roll comment. I hate when DPs don&#039;t hold shots. I can&#039;t help but think that person is getting a free ride - taking home nice checks while they make it more difficult for the editor.</description>

		<description>True!  I have worked with him on more than a few shows that he shot.  One can get spoiled with DPs like him.  In fact, he is the DP on BLOOD DIAMONDS, and gave us a lot of great material. (Dan and I co-edited that)

		<description>More specifically than shoot a lot of b-roll, shoot a lot of GOOD and INTERESTING b-roll. AND hold shots long enough to make them useful to the editor. There&#039;s nothing that drives me crazier than footage from a shooter that never lets the camera settle on a shot.

Kevin O&#039;Brien, the DP on Blood Diamonds, did an amazing job. He&#039;s one of the best DPs I&#039;ve ever worked with.</description>
