Well, not having used FILM SCRIBE I can only assume it is something for FILM. I don't think you'd mix and match FILM like this.

I wonder what FilmScribe lists of sequences with mixed and matched frame rate footage will look like?

Oh and BTW, just for fun, I threw in some PAL footage like Dylan suggested. It's a tad bit soft, but overall, pretty amazing considering its doing it on the fly.

I have been using this quite a bit, and it has been flawless. most of the work is done on an 8 core mac pro with fibre drives, but when I take it home on my 2.53 MBP with esata, I dont have any issues. I am floored at the quality and the speed. Avid definitely got this one right.

Nov. 18. But I and the others will be on laptops...only the MOJO would work. But from my conversations with Avid, those boxes don't come into play with this option, only the speed of the drives and the processors of the machine...

I have done a few tests with this as well. What date is your presentation for LAFCPUG? I might have a nitris DX or mojo DX available if hardware would be helpful.

I've only played with Mix and Match a bit, but I've been pretty impressed - the visual quality of Avid's Blended Interpolation seems very good.

You should make the test a big hard too - put some 25 or 50fps footage in there... As it is all your framerates are 59.94Hz timebase - the conversion there is a lot easier than mixing 50Hz and 59.94Hz...

I can send you some PAL Avid media if you need it - just tweet me.
