Should I use the program's 1.2 version or 1.21b5 (any bugs you have been reported in 1.21b5 at all?) would there be any quality differences if I use beta or the non beta for an end result?

.mov drag and drop doesn't work, any solutions please?

after marking the i and o, is there any difference between file save as and edit/ trim commands if I just want to save the marked part in the same file format, ie .mov

would trim command make any difference or a better job if I am not going to convert it please

kind regards

I wanted to open a 6 minutes DVD with Mpeg Streamclip. It only showed a blank screen, with the playhead-line lying in the middle of the screen horizontaly.

Usually I can just drag the vob file to my FCP and it works fine, only that it does not have sound. But this time, the vob file won't let me drag to anywhere. why y y ?

It didn't work for me, as I do not have Apple's MPEG2 playback components installed. What does work though, is Handbrake. :)

I love Streamclip. I work now and then with a dude that won't swear by anything unless he had to take a month long course learning it. One day we were having a problem with something and I told him to run it through Streamclip. I told him it was freeware and that it would solve the problem. The moment I said, "Freeware," he shook his head. He didn't even want to know what it was. Some months later I had to use his computer for something and found Streamclip in the dock. Vindicated.

Incidentally, I use Streamclip to transcode all my HDV footage to DVCPro, XDCAM, Photo-JPEG or whatever the hell I want to edit in that day ;)

So your HDV to DVCPRO HD could probably have been partially done in Streamclip too?
