Great post, Shane. And I thought it was bad when the clients of my latest project told me they wanted us to split it into two separate projects after we had wrapped shooting. You put me to shame [smile].

You're absolutely right: A lot of editing is figuring out what doesn't work in pursuit of finding what does.

~Luke

Thanks PeeJee, but the Perian component interferes with P2 import. SO I haven't installed that.

But that is a good workflow for those without the P2 need.

Hi Shane,

I don't know if this is relevant... but since you where sharing your tools... I thought it was useful to mention this one...

As you mentioned, we use VisualHub to encode our FLV to FCP but
since a couple of weeks we use Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTime components... With it installed you can open allot of non standard files (e.g. FLV) in Quicktime and use the export function of quicktime pro to get the desired output file... We didn't had any conflicts with the components in QT (yet ;) And keeps you within your budget, cause it a free collection of components =)

Cheers and thanks for sharing!
