Got me on that one. I haven't offlined multicam. I know many others have with success. But I haven't had the need yet.

Good luck.

Pose the question on the forums.

I've relied on Media Manager for years for archiving & offlining projects . . . great tool.

But recently offlined a bunch of locked multicam footage to another editor. When he sent it back, it was a *nightmare* to reconnect -- not sure why.

Just thought i'd share this for those long flights, camping trips, or whatever.
http://www.brunton.com/product.php?id=605

cheers
Tony

I've been using Media Manager for a couple years now instead of Log & Capture. It's awesome!

I Log & Capture an entire tape (6 seconds to 1 hour) and then cut that hour of footage down into the bits I want in my timeline. Then it's a fairly quick process to make Subclips, rename and Media Mange, cutting my hard drive usage in third (and, yes, it keeps the Reel information so I can Batch Capture later if my media goes offline). I have yet to have a problem with it (here's hoping that continues [smile]).

Very good tip for editing on the go, Shane.

~Luke

I have been using media manager with good success lately. When I am done with a project I tend to media manage it to a new location, nuke the original media files. Then I have a nice reduced version of it that I can review.

And, yeah, Shane, it's time for an upgrade :)
