		<description>Avid upgrades have actually become incredibly affordable since their NLE&#039;s have become software based.  The last round was a $50 upgrade for Xpress Pro and $200 (if I remember right) for Media Composer--cheapest NLE upgrade I know of.  Plus, all systems that were certified for the last build are certified for this one--no upgrades needed.  The Avid of today isn&#039;t nearly as expensive as previous versions.</description>

My only problem will be when the people I work with often upgrade, then I might feel forced to follow. This is one thing I really liked about Avid, sequences are backward compatibille (and being able to open individual bins from other projects...)</description>
